Welcome to my site and thank you for viewing my e-portfolio. This page is dedicated to showcasing my professional writing. As I complete my fourth year at Northeastern University, I can reflect on how my writing style as progressed and improved over the years. I have included two writing samples from my Advanced Writing in the Technical Professions course. This course empowered students to establish their own professional voice, so to speak, and transition from strictly writing to an audience of university professors.
Both papers below were part of a larger objective to research a topic in my professional and academic discipline. My research focused on the need to expand autonomous vehicle testing and simulation methods to better integrate automated technology with the public transportation network. I am fascinated by “self-driving” cars, and the complex technology behind their development. As someone who hopes to see more autonomous vehicles integrated with society, I found the test and assessment process to be a critical element to successfully deploying more vehicles in the future.
Annotated Bibliography: Analysis of Secondhand Research (February 2021)
The purpose of this annotated bibliography was to evaluate the existing expert research and discourse regarding my proposed topic (autonomous vehicles). The two main factors considered were the intended audience and the primary purpose of the scholarly work. This assignment prepared students for the task of declaring a target audience for their own upcoming proposal.
Proposal for Awareness, Service, Policy or Research for the Technical Professional (April 2021)
This research proposal was one of the culminating assignments, in which I layout my holistic recommendation to expand on existing autonomous vehicle research. I begin with some background research on autonomous vehicles then layout my intended proposal objectives. I present a few explicit steps for research methods and conclude with expected outcomes and intended results.
